About us
Sweat, Blood, & Tears
The company was built on the integrity and dreams of its founders, Andrew and Shakina Potter, who had a dream to be able to provide a well rounded career for those who have been recently incarcerated and have shown vision of rehabilitation and the hopes to work for themselves and establish their own business.
Their journey began in 2012, after 20+ years of working for multiple construction companies in the Dubuque, IA area, Andrew took his knowledge and years of experience along with his wife's degree in Business Management and they started in small home repairs in 2024. They then ventured into more residential construction, specifically in home renovations. One key aspect that stands out is their strong values and high standards, which they use to transform family dreams into beautiful homes where clients can spend many years making memories. This commitment to quality and excellence is reflected in the final products they deliver to their clients.
A Shared Vision of Family Values
Potter Construction, LLC has a solid foundation, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results to its clients. One day we hope to add more of our family and children to the company story and employee roster!" - Kina Potter
